Rumsey Hall Card Project: Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) is a charitable organization that spreads hope, joy, and a little color to thousands of permanently hospitalized children across the United States of America by delivering thoughtful, uplifting handmade cards. The Rumsey Hall Card Project is a community service initiative created by Elina Choi, encouraging our students to make these cards. We ask that students and families contribute. Read more.
End-of-Term Skills Checklists for all subjects from Kindergarten through IIIrd Form will be available in the Blue Dog Portal starting Monday. Please take some time to review these before your upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference.
Lower School Parent-Teacher Conferences are on December 6, 7, and 12 from 3-5 p.m. There are no AEP activities on these days; however, the playground will be open and supervised for students who stay.
Lower School Optional 3:00 Pick-Up from December 6 to December 13: Our final day of Afternoon Enrichment Program (AEP) activities is on December 5. Although the playground will remain open and supervised for free play, including one or two indoor options, students may choose to depart daily at 3:00 p.m. during this period. Please note that during the last week, IIIrd Formers do not have Upper School Athletics, but they are welcome to stay and participate in the activities as mentioned above.
Lower School Winter Celebration of Song and Art: Please join us on Friday, December 8, at 3:00 p.m. for our Lower School Winter Celebration of Song and Art!
• Parking can be tricky, but our maintenance team will be out to guide you. We recommend arriving a little early to avoid crowds.
• Once parked, come to the Lower School walkway and then head to the science courtyard to meet up with your child.
• From 3:00 to 3:30 p.m., families tour the art exhibit and enjoy some time sharing in some hot cocoa and cookies by the campfire.
• At 3:30 p.m., the concert portion of the event begins.
• Following the concert, families are welcome to visit/revisit the art exhibit or share in some camaraderie by the fire before departing for the day. Please remember to check out with your child’s homeroom teacher before leaving.
• The dress Code for the day is Regular Class Dress, but dressing warmly is advised!
Boarding School Parents/Guardians: It is hard to believe but the Holiday Break is less than two weeks away. All students who will need transportation arranged by the school MUST submit an Orah pass by Monday, December 4. This deadline will also apply to any cash requests for travel. Late submissions for travel/transportation requests may not be able to be accommodated by the school. Your submission of travel plans by this deadline is greatly appreciated.
